So many people get married for money or fame. You aren’t going to find that with homosexual people, because they CAN’T get married. All they want is to publically, and legally marry one another and put it in fine writing. A statement that truly says they love one another. Don’t argue that tradition is between man and woman. Traditions never last. Traditions will only last as long as the people who uphold those traditions do. Laws are supposed to protect the lives of a nation’s people. That’s why you can’t bring a weapon in public. That’s why you can’t purchase drugs such as cocaine and heroine at a pharmacy. But you know what will happen if we legalize gay married? People will get married. That’s it. Don’t argue that you “don’t want to see them displaying affection in public”. You don’t want to see that with straight people, anyways. If you see two people making out, you’re going to tell them to get a room regardless of their sexual orientation. If we were run by a homosexual government and they put bans on straight marriage, you wouldn’t be too happy either. Seriously, let it go. Freedom of speech causes more harm than gay marriage does, and we’re allowed to say ANYTHING we want. Just because you’ve got your conservative panties all knotted doesn’t give you the right to go around taking away the happiness of others. It’s not worth it.
